The Conduit then travels throughout the world to try and close the many fissures that have been opened between a hellish realm and their own, and stop their own soul from being consumed by evil in the process. The player-created protagonist (referred to as The Conduit) barely survives an encounter with the forces of darkness somewhere in India.
For this entry, the main guest is Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher series, with two DLC guests added later ( 2B from NieR: Automata and Haohmaru from the Samurai Shodown series). Like most of the previous games in the series, Soulcalibur VI includes non-canonical guest fighters. New game mechanics include "Reversal Edge" (a cinematic rock-paper-scissors clash) and unique character-specific traits.
